AI Agents Can Now Buy Domains on Their Own: Coinbase Takes x402 From Fetching Data to Actually Buying Things
Coinbase Business announced that AI agents can buy domains on the Atom domain platform through x402, taking x402 from data requests worth a few cents to real transactions that can fail and carry real money. Atom’s design has the buyer approve first, holds the funds, and only charges once the domain is successfully registered.
