What is Parameters?
Learnable values inside a model that determine its ‘knowledge’. GPT-4 reportedly has 1.8 trillion parameters, Llama 3 has 70B/400B versions. More parameters usually means smarter but also more expensive and slower. Choosing a model means balancing capability and cost.
